Additional note: I mention my success in my writing often, and I don’t want to give you the impression that I’m bragging. I just think it’s important you hear from an actual Owner Operator’s experience, the BIG NUMBERS that can be accomplished in the trucking business. It’s part of your learning process. Otherwise, many of you may never be aware of just how much money an O/O can really make.
Look at it like this, if you were standing on a mountaintop that was loaded with gold nuggets, just inches below your feet, but you never knew there was gold within reach to dig for, would you begin digging for the gold? Not likely.
I’m here to point out that there is gold to be found in trucking, SHINY, SWEET, DELICIOUS GOLD in the form of thousand-dollar bills and greater home time! But you need to know it actually exists before you will ever start digging for it.
So when I tell you I had a job back in ‘23, a time when other drivers were struggling with low rates that, “If I got a check for less than $8000 for the week, after fuel and Carrier deductions, I was disappointed!”, it’s ONLY to let you know that a trucker can get $8000 checks after deductions from a Carrier for 2200 miles, even in a poor economy! (Remember my goal of saving $7500 a week? I chose that number because I had been getting $8000 checks! Sure, my checks dropped off in the middle of meeting my goal. But toward the end those numbers rose MUCH HIGHER.)
Would you be shooting for $8000 paychecks AND MORE, AFTER Carrier deductions (fuel, insurance, etc.) if you hadn’t heard for certain it was possible?!!
You see, for this course to be a success, you’ll need to walk away searching for the gold in trucking. The gold in trucking is whatever it is for you, as in more money, more home time, house paid off, more savings, happy kids, better life, whatever it is. And while I’m here to tell you what actions I took that led ME to success, I’ll also need to give you an idea of the big numbers that can be achieved, so you know what to go looking for.
It is the gold in trucking, the promise of Big Money, finding it, then getting those bigger checks that eventually changes the other things in your life, home time, savings, college or retirement funds, etc. So I’ll give you numbers much bigger than you may be used to seeing so you know the possibilities are out there. And unless you have a big goal to shoot for, you may not know to take aim for the big money that can be found at the top of the Owner Operator pay scale. And I am sure there are many other truckers that have made a lot more money than I have. And you can do it too, once you know how.
It is from what you learn in this course that you will create your own unique path to success, based on what’s best for you and your business. I will do my best to give you the most useful knowledge I have, so you can improve your financial picture and lifestyle, by making the Big Money in Trucking.
